Un weekend de "Ballade"

Sorry mais cette fois le post sera en anglais.
We spent the weekend sailing to Texel Island in the Waddenzee; a trip of 80 nm (nautical miles).
Friday evening on the way to the harbour Stefanie had  a sms from Ben and Monique of the Ballade.
The idea was to meet them at Texel. A long trip for a short two day's weekend but we really wanted to spend time with them. 

So we left Lelystad at midnight and we moored  the Zolys near Enkuizen at 3am for a short nap as we left again at 8am. At 10.30am we arrived at the lock in Den Oever where we met Ben and Monique.
The idea of Stefanie was to do a photo report as we were sailing with the Ballade and it's new beautiful grey main sail.

In the afternoon we arrived at Texel and enjoyed the Dutch beer, Chilian white wine and home made sushi's of Monique. In the evening we did a barbeque. 

So a nice sailing day 



On Sunday morning, we did the way back to Lelystad. On our way we met a strange spinnaker 
looking like Flemish region flag, and our the first idea was "look at the stupid flemish nationalist !" but

at Den Oever in the lock we had the answer: this boat is a dutch one but fomer competitor of the "tour de france a la voile" coming from French flanders region...  what explains the flag
Stefanie was ready to fight with nationalists :-) . The perfect dutch gentleman gave us his mailadres and we sent him some nice pictures.





I want to remind our dear readers that we are a pefect Belgian, European couple, Stefanie is Flemish, I'm Walloon, we are working togheter at Brussels and we hate all nationalism, populism, racism,... and ridicul Belgian politicians!
